The farmer's market seafood purveyors behind Poppa's Fresh Fish Company are going brick-and-mortar with a retail shop opening this weekend in the Logan Heights neighborhood.
Their market booths will continue, but owner Mark Lane will man the new fish market and eatery, which the San Diego Free Press says will serve "seafood pho and a more experimental uni-based menu, using sea urchins obtained by local divers." Also planned for the new location, pop-up events featuring guest chefs and possibly an on-site farmer's market.
A grand opening is scheduled for this Saturday, March 15 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a New England clam bake and special guests.
