New Tequila Society; Beer Dinner; Bankers Hill Shuffles

RANCHO SANTA FERancho Valencia Resort & Spa has launched a new tequila society, led by resident catador (tequila expert) Chris Simmons, that they're calling The All Agave Project. Features include an ongoing tequila exploration via The Pony Room bar, invites to private events and tequila-related swag. Members (the annual fee is $295) also receive discounted pricing on monthly Agave "Sip Sesh" seminars with tequila owners and master distillers, which include a welcome cocktail, tastings, and light bites. BAY PARK— The next Chicks for Beer dinner (ladies-only) at the High Dive is scheduled for Tuesday, February 18. It'll feature Firestone Walker Brewing Company; the $30 ticket price includes five beer tastes and food pairings. [EaterWire]

BANKERS HILL— Bankers Hill Bar + Restaurant has a new general manager, J.M. "Woody" van Horn, who replaces longtime front-of-house manager Tiffany Tyler-Rodriguez. Tyler-Rodriguez has a new position with Laguna Beach's Montage Hotel and Resort, where she'll join her husband, sommelier Jesse Rodriguez (formerly of Addison). Van Horn comes to Bankers Hill from Napa, where he managed Thomas Keller's Bouchon Restaurant; he's a certified sommelier, so he'll also be overseeing the restaurant's wine program. [EaterWire]
