Carnitas' Expands Hours; Beer Dinner; Collab Kitchen

NORTH PARK— To everyone's delight, Carnitas' Snack Shack has expanded their operating hours to Tuesdays, which means the popular eatery is now open daily, from noon to midnight. Eater's also hearing that the site planned for their next expansion is no longer in play, but the eatery's currently exploring other options. [EaterWire]

SAN MARCOS— Vista's Mother Earth Brew Co. has announced a collaboration with the French brewpub, Brasserie du Pays Flamand, whose owners will be in San Diego on February 9 to help create a special beer. Everyone involved will be at Churchill's Pub & Grille on Monday, February 10 for a five course Master Brewers dinner starting at 7 p.m. The $65 dinner price includes beer pairings and a bottle of Mother Earth beer; call 760-471-8773 for reservations. MORENA DISTRICTTickets have just been released for the next round of Collaboration Kitchen, a dynamic cooking demo/dinner party put on by Catalina Offshore Products & Specialty Produce. On Sunday, February 16, from 5 to 8 p.m., Mitch Conniff of Mitch's Seafood will be cooking up a feast at Catalina Offshore's warehouse; all proceeds from the BYOB event will go to the King-Chavez neighborhood of schools.
