Today, Southpaw Social Club launches a new menu geared to help emphasize the "biergarten" vibe that the Petco Park-adjacent eatery has established with its indoor/outdoor communal seating and focus on craft beer.
Southpaw launched last summer with a southern-tinged menu from R Gang's Rich Sweeney, who has since moved on to partner in the new Florent downtown.
A couple of burgers and flatbread remain, otherwise the rest of the food is new, crafted by The Blind Burro's Todd Nash and Sara Polczynski and Southpaw's chef John Bickley; there's a sausage trio, oxtail soup, a kielbasa steak burger and a twist on mac and cheese that employs herb spaetzle.
Southpaw will also start cooking up barbecue on weekends and for all Padres home games and beef up their beverage list, adding more specialty cocktails and craft beer in bottles and cans.
