Still need a sweet treat to bring to your Valentine? The Cravory's new cookie shop is open just in time for you to make someone's day.

Though the company has been in operation for five years, this is the bakery's first storefront. Designed by Michael Soriano, the gleaming showcase has cork floors patterned to resemble cookie dough.

They've built a strong following at San Diego farmer's markets, and say that they'll continue to operate their market booths, but co-founder and creative chef Derek Jaeger, whose ice cream sandwich won fourth place in the Chef of the Fest contest at the San Diego Bay Wine and Food fest, says that this shop will enable customers to be able to taste the cookies at their freshest; The Cravory's production kitchen is just behind the 200-square-foot retail space.

Open Monday -Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., The Cravory will stock a minumum of 12 flavors daily; Jaeger estimates that there are more than 1,000 cookie varieties in their archives. The bakery also introduces six new flavors a month; February's include It's Complicated, a red velvet meets chocolate chip cookie, and Love Potion, a Champagne cookie with a hint of orange zest.
Future plans including adding seating, expanding to selling ice cream sandwiches and raw cookie dough, and beer and cookie pairings. The Cravory also has other shops are on the way; they plan to open more locations in Los Angeles and San Diego.
