Over the weekend, the tipline was abuzz with Rick Bayless sightings. The Chicago-based chef was in town for a class with Pizzeria Mozza's Nancy Silverton at the Westfield Mission Valley Macy's and managed to spend some time eating around San Diego.
According to his Twitter, where he's posting up a recipe every day in December, Bayless ate fish tacos at Puesto, had delicious lamb barbacoa at Aqui es Texcoco and celebrated his wife's birthday at Romesco. The chef also visited a local farm which supplies citrus to his restaurants.
The local rumor mill has also been churning with speculation that Bayless, who owns Chicago's Frontera Grill, Topolobampo and Xoco, may have something in the works for San Diego. Have any intel? Hit up the tipline.
