KEARNY MESA— O'Brien's Pub hosts its annual Christmas caroling event starting around 8 p.m. tonight; to get everyone in the mood, there will be lots of seasonal holiday beers on tap along with Russian River's Pliny the Elder and a keg of Alpine's Duet that'll get tapped at 5 p.m. [Facebook]

NORMAL HEIGHTS— If you still need a holiday party venue, you might consider Air Conditioned Lounge, where the newly-redone VIP room features bottle service, its own beer tap, disco balls and a just-installed LED touch-activated, light-up dance floor where you can reenact Michael Jackson's video for "Billie Jean".
