KENSINGTONOn Thursday, November 13 at 6:30 p.m., Fish Public is presenting a Fall Harvest Dinner and will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. An hors d’oeuvres reception will be followed by a three-course family-style menu with wine pairings, cooked by executive sous chef Mark Schmitt, who will be joined by Farm Fresh to You farmer Thaddeus Barsotti in a discussion about seasonal eating, sourcing produce from farms and sustainable farming practices. EAST VILLAGEComún Kitchen & Tavern continues its dynamic Mi Casa Su Casa collaborations on Thursday, November 13 with a five course dinner that celebrates the pig, namely the head, trotters, belly, ham and fat. Naturally, Hanis Cavin of Carnitas’ Snack Shack is the guest chef, joining Chad White for this "Forbidden Fruit" event that includes a butchering demo by Cook Pigs Ranch and dishes that range from a pig trotter cake to an orange and cider-braised pork belly torta.
