San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival's Can't Miss Events

EAST VILLAGEThere are just a few precious tickets left for this celebration of Baja-inspired cuisine; Monday, November 17th's six course dinner at Común Kitchen and Tavern will be cooked by Común's Chad White in collaboration with Chopped All-Stars Champion Nate Appleman and Rodrigo Bueno from Baja's Rancho Pescadero. Each course will be paired with Baja wine or tequila-based cocktail from noted bar man Ryan Andrews.

LIBERTY STATIONTaco Tuesday brings a Fish Taco TKO Competition held at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens on November 18 from 6 to 9 p.m.. Local taco specialists, including Tacos Perla, Puesto and The Blind Burro will battle each other in a taco throwdown with you as the judge.

EMBARCADEROTickets for the fest's main showcase, the Grand Tasting Event at Embarcadero Marina Park North on Saturday, November 22, go up in price tomorrow. The 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. stroll-and-feed, the largest wine and food festival in SoCal, features over 60 chefs and 150 wine and spirit purveyors.

DEL MARFrequent celebrity chef guest Gayle Gand is hosting a birthday party at the Del Mar Race Track on Sunday, November 23 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. featuring her Chicago-based SpritzBurger concept and other beef-centric stations including one helmed by San Diego's The Heart & Trotter Butchery and their chef, Lhasa Landry.
