Sean Brock Book Signing; Breakfast for Dinner

An afternoon at the farm; breakfast after dark; craft beer and food truck event.

RANCHO SANTA FE—The Good Earth/Great Chefs series will present an afternoon at Chino Farm with acclaimed Southern chef Sean Brock on Sunday, November 16 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The free event will include a signing of Brock's new cookbook, Heritage, as well as food sampling and a pop-up market. LA JOLLA—Calling all breakfast-for-dinner fans: Cusp Dining & Drinks will feature a new Breakfast After Dark menu every Monday night (in addition to the regular dinner menu). $7 small plates are intended for sharing, including chilaquiles nachos, bananas foster French toast, and steel-cut oatmeal risotto with fried vegetables. EAST VILLAGE—SILO in Makers Quarter will host the third Craft Beer + Bites event benefiting the San Diego Brewers Guild on Thursday, November 13 from 6-9 p.m. Attendees can sample beer from 15 local breweries, and there will be food trucks and games like bocce ball and ping pong as well as live music, live art demos, and a home brewing station. Leashed dogs are welcome, but the event is 21+ only.Tickets are $20 in advance or $30 at the door for 10 four-ounce beer pours and can be purchased here. [EaterWire]
