Culture Brewing Co. Expanding With Ocean Beach Tasting Room

The Solana Beach-based brewery is opening a second tap room.

North County brewery Culture Brewing Co. will open a secondary tasting room in Ocean Beach next week. (The brewery, which launched in 2012, already has a tap room located at its brewery facilities in Solana Beach's Cedros Design District.)

As the San Diego Reader reported yesterday:

Located at 4845 Newport Avenue, the 1,600 square foot facility will mirror its northerly predecessor to some degree with a sleek, neutral-driven interior design motif featuring local art and a new version of the Solana Beach tasting room's "craft beer graphic wall," and roll-up garage doors facing out onto a popular, walkable and high-traffic main drag. Eighteen taps will dispense Culture's core beers and rotating, ever-increasing stock of specialty brews, some of which may be served on nitro.

Much like the Solana Beach flagship, the secondary tasting room will offer several different pour sizes ranging from 3 ounce tasters to pints (prices vary based on the ABV content of each brew) as well as to-go growler fills in 32- or 64-ounce quantities. Scope out the brewery's website for the current brew lineup, which includes the grapefruit-infused Keyhole IPA, a Belgian farmhouse ale, and multiple session beers.
