CLAIREMONT-- Chicken Charlie's Frybq is clogging arteries around the clock now that it's got a year-round coop to call home. Almost a week after opening, Yelp reviews are mixed (some say portions are skimpy while others are raving over the bacon-wrapped shrimp and baby back ribs). Some of owner Charlie Boghosian's signature fair foods (like meat sandwiched between Krispy Kreme donuts) are amiss, but Times of San Diego says deep-fried peanut butter meatballs will debut next month. GASLAMP-- Oggi's will celebrate its newly opened Vista location with a football party on Nov. 2. The party kicks off at 9:30am with raffle prizes like LaDainian Tomlinson-autographed gear and gift cards. Sport a football jersey and get a free order of Oggi's Stix-pizza dough. Also expect $5 Oggi's beers and Bloody Marys. [EaterWire]

GOLDEN HILL-- Kick it Animal House style this Halloween with a good old fashioned house party at Counterpoint, where costumes aren't necessary for beer pong on the patio. Pour unlimited beer from a hand-pump keg into a red Solo cup for $25. To recover from the impromptu frat party, there's a brunch for that on Saturday--complete with Pedialyte Pops and Vitawater cocktails. [EaterWire]
