A Third Yakitori Restaurant Opens; Ales and Acoustics; Fall Menu at Tidal

Japanese restaurant expansion in Clairemont, beer and bands in La Jolla, and new fall food at bay front hotel.

CLAIREMONT--As previously reported by Eater in March, the former Curry Rice was just a placeholder restaurant, and in fact would be replaced by a new yakitori restaurant, Yakitori Taisho, the third yakitori restaurant owned and opened by Masa Nabeta. It has come to Eater’s attention that Nabeta-san has reported the restaurant will open tomorrow at 5185 Clairemont Mesa Boulevard. [EaterWire]

LA JOLLA--Ales and Acoustics is the latest event from Herringbone’s Executive Chef Brian Marlarkey. Set to take place on the last Saturday of every month, Malarkey will be partnering with local breweries and live acoustic bands at Herringbone for tastings and music. Their next event will take place this Saturday, October 25 from 2-6pm, and will feature local artists, Paul Canon Duo and Kris Bradley Duo, as well as four different draft brews from Rip Current Brewing. CROWN POINT--Bay front hotel Paradise Point is getting ready for some seasonal changes as Chef Amy DiBiase of the hotel’s recently opened restaurant, Tidal, releases her new fall menu. Some of the inspired dishes include a Ricotta Gnudi with duck confit and pumpkin, Apple Cider Glazed Pork Cheek with brussels sprouts and pickled apple, and Chicken Liver Mousse with apple butter and golden raisin compote.
