Here Are Seven Recent Openings in San Diego

From brunch, beer and coffee to seafood restaurants and new markets.

We've gathered a list of recent openings that might not be on your radar, but should be. Check them out, won't you? /p>

Crushed
This brunch-focused eatery in Pacific Beach has a menu that includes sweet pancakes that could double as dessert, savory egg dishes, sliders, pastas and a big craft beer program. Open every day from 8 a.m. to midnight.

Blue Smoke Sushi Lounge
Fashion Valley's Love Boat Boat Sushi is now an upscale eatery with a menu that's more in line with the owners' Carlsbad restaurant, Blue Ocean Robata and Sushi Bar. The 4 to 6 p.m. happy hour, available Monday through Thursday, features 50% off select items.

TJ Oyster Bar
This new Chula Vista eatery is the third location for the popular Mexican seafood specialists who also run a small taco shop and larger sit-down restaurant in Bonita. 601 E Palomar Street.

Islander
New to Coronado, Islander has a menu that ranges from raw oyster to crab cakes and chowder. Their signature item, a tacone, wraps your choice of seafood in a grilled flour tortilla with chipotle avocado sauce, roasted pumpkin seed slaw, and lime-pickled jicama and onions.

Krisp Beverages + Natural Foods
The owners of Best Damn Beer Shop have successfully completed
updating a Golden Hill market at 2511 C Street into a new grocery with a great craft beer selection.

Ladies & Gentlemen Coffee Roasters
A former barista at SF's Blue Bottle just launched this small roastery and storefront in Sherman Heights that's open Monday through Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.. They also have a stand at the Golden Hill Farmers' Market.

Grapes & Hops
The East Village has a new deli and liquor store (811 Market St.) with a sandwich counter and a good assortment of wine and craft beer.
