Two of Eater's most anticipated fall openings, the pairing of Texas-transplants Stella Public House and Halcyon, are debuting next month in the East Village.
The two concepts will share a 3,000-square-foot building with a "sleek, light industrial aesthetic" that includes a 1,500-square-foot patio overlooking a new public park currently in development.
Halycon is a modern coffeehouse that'll serve casual eats and espresso cocktails while next door, the wood-fired oven-powered "farm-to-pizza" restaurant, Stella Public House, will feature tons of craft beer taps.
Overseeing both kitchens is newly-hired executive chef Giovanni Novella, who has a Master of Culinary Arts and Hospitality from Italy’s Alberghiero de Gennaro professional institute; he last ran the show at Isola Pizza Bar in Little Italy.
