Bottlecraft to Move Little Italy Bottle Shop & Add Beer Taps

New digs for the beer store means more taps to drink from.

RakiRaki Ramen & Tsukemen's new neighbor in the Olea building is Bottlecraft Beer Shop and Tasting Room, which is moving their Little Italy operation just a couple blocks north into the adjacent 1,600-square-foot space at 2252 India Street.

The new store, which should be open by early November, will have ample retail space and more cold storage for bottles with an increased focus on beer taps, centered around a tasting bar with 25 draft lines; above the cold box, a small mezzanine area will be used for private parties, events and classes.

Owner Brian Jensen says that one tap will be dedicated to cider and another to wine; there will be bar-height seating throughout the space, and roll-up doors that open onto a sidewalk patio.

Jensen may partner with Venissimo Cheese here too, as well as allow for food delivery from RakiRaki.

As for his original Little Italy location at 2161 India Street, Jensen says he'll shutter it just before opening this shop but may keep that space for another venture, a new wine concept with a store and bar.

Meanwhile, his North Park outpost is getting closer to on-site beer service; Jensen told Eater that once his license goes through, he plans on creating a small area that'll allow for beer and cheese tasting.
