Looks like Enlightened Hospitality Group has finally whittled down their "Fabric of Social Dining" empire to just two varieties, Herringbone and Searsucker.
Our intel says that Gabardine, the group's Point Loma restaurant, has shuttered. Meanwhile, Brian Marlarkey's Herringbone in West Hollywood is scheduled to open this weekend, according to Eater LA.
Update: EHGRP's reps sent over a revised statement, posted below, amended to include word that Searsucker in Scottsdale, which the group opened at the end of 2012, also shuttered today.
In a statement, CEO James Brennan of Enlightened Hospitality Group says, "In an effort to remain focused on the national rollout of Enlightened Hospitality Group's (EHGRP) 'fabric of social dining' restaurant concepts we have decided to close our Searsucker Scottsdale and Gabardine San Diego locations. As EHGRP continues the expansion of our premier brands, we must continue to focus our efforts on the immense success of our current restaurant portfolio. EHGRP remains incredibly thankful for the support of the San Diego and Scottsdale communities and are looking forward to the launch of Herringbone Los Angeles this month."
