AROUND TOWN— The new food truck, Mercadito Wheels, is hitting San Diego streets this weekend. On Friday, they'll make an inaugural stop at Offbeat Brewing Company from 3 to 8 p.m. and on Sunday, they're bringing Mexican street food to Thorn Street Brewery from 4 to 8 p.m. [EaterWire]

KEARNY MESAMastiff Sausage Company (meet them here) is celebrating its first anniversary this Sunday, January 26, when the food truck will be parked at Societe Brewing Company from 1 to 6 p.m. In honor of the occasion, they're bringing back their three-way pork sandwich (braised pork butt, roasted loin, crispy belly) for a one-day special engagement; there will be beer specials and other off-menu items available too. LA JOLLA— San Diego-based Dlush, which used to operate a fancy coffee and beverage spot in the Fashion Valley mall, is back with a just-opened joint in UC San Diego's Price Center. The San Diego Business Journal says that the new 2,000-square-foot restaurant will "serve handcrafted drinks and comfort foods". [EaterWire]
