Tonight marks the premiere of Savor San Diego's second season on KPBS; the local food show is hosted by restaurateur and cookbook author Su-Mei Yu (Saffron).
In its debut run, the show featured Yu's visits to local producers, including San Diego Soy Dairy, Mendenhall Ranch and Catalina Offshore, plus cooking demos inspired by the ingredients.
In this second, six-episode season, which will air Thursdays at 9 p.m. and Saturdays at 3:30 p.m., Yu will visit the Guadalupe Valley, Suzie's Farm, Rancho La Puerta and immerse herself in the local craft beer community with visits to Ballast Point and White Labs.
Tonight's episode, entitled "Beautiful Beans", features Bird Rock Coffee Roasters and Chuao Chocolates.
