Today, Encore Champagne Bar & Dining Room makes its stylish entrance into the downtown dining scene.
The freshly-constructed, splashy new restaurant, which spans 4,000-square-feet, has space to accomodate 152 diners in their bubbly bar, dining room and on two sidewalk patios.
The menu, by chef Ryan Studebaker, can be ordered from any seat; Encore is serving lunch and dinner, plus a weekend brunch (duck hash, seared albacore torta) that kicks off this Saturday.
Dinner includes a super luxurious osetra caviar platter with all the bells and whistles for $285 and a more modest plate of paddlefish caviar, smoked salmon and blinis for $25. Studebaker's sharable starters span the gamut from braised pork cheeks with crispy grits to piquillo pepers stuffed with tuna conserva and duck confit with risotto and pistachio pesto; main dishes range from a fresh local seafood catch to a pork porterhouse.
A 3 to 5 p.m. happy hour, running Monday to Friday, get a return engagement 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. nightly and offers half-off plates that includes steak carpaccio, stone crab spring rolls, seared fish cakes and a savory-sweet apple and fig tart.
