The San Diego Architectural Foundation's annual Orchids & Onions program highlights the best and worst of local architecture and design with a ceremony held on October 3 at 6 p.m. at the San Diego Museum of Art.
One of the awards handed out that night will be the People's Choice Awards, the top vote-getters from a list of nominated Orchid (winners) and Onions (duds). Among those nominated for People's Choice Orchids are two hospitality entries - Polite Provisions/Soda & Swine and Stone Brewing Co.'s new Liberty Station location; head to the polls to weigh in, voting ends September 26.
On October 3, the foundation will also announce their Grand Orchid Winner and a jury will award Orchids to a select group culled from over 100 nominations, which include Brooklyn Girl, Monello, Queenstown Public House, The Cat Eye Club and more.
