Here's more good food news taking flight at the airport; Tender Greens is launching their new concept, Garden by Tender Greens, in the San Diego International Airport's Commuter Terminal tomorrow.
It's an even speedier version of Tender Greens' fast-casual concept that will still use the same quality ingredients, including heritage meat and local produce; co-founder Erik Oberholtzer says that travelers will be able to find food that's "chef-driven, made from scratch and wholesome."
And remember that rotisserie cooking idea? Garden will roast skewered meats on a Brazilian-style rotating grill, the first in any airport.
The menu will feature breakfast offerings and a daytime menu of proteins or vegetables that can be had in a sandwich or on a salads, plus soups and pre-composed salads including organic kale with shaved beets, carrots and roasted garlic vinaigrette. If you need a little liquid courage before you fly, Garden has a full bar stocked with cocktails fixings, California wine and local craft beer.
