More Hess Celebrations; Stone Anniversary; Carnitas' Sirens Dinner; Del Mar Feast

AROUND TOWN— New Zealand-themed restaurants Queenstown Public House, Raglan Public House and Bare Back Grill are getting in on Hess Brewing's launch by hosting brewery-centric events on Thursday, August 15. At Little Italy's Queenstown, find a keep-the-glass night with Hess beer flights, Raglan Public House will do a four-course beer pairing dinner and a Hess tap takeover is planned at Bare Back Grill. SAN MARCOS— The weekend of August 16 and 17 rings in the annual Stone 17th Anniversary Celebration & Invitational Beer Festival at the California State University San Marcos campus. There's a special Brewers Reception on Friday and two sessions of the fest on Saturday, when a $40 ticket includes 15 three-ounce samples from 50 breweries and 100 beers, as well as complimentary homebrewed sodas and special Stone beers on cask.
