When the staff at UnderBelly started noticing an unusually large amount of their toilet paper going missing from a small storage cabinet in the bathroom, they had a good idea who the culprit was (a regular). But instead of confronting the customer directly, they went a different route.
General manager Brian Eastman posted a video of a letter they left inside the cabinet that reads, in part, "we know what you are doing and we know who you are." Eastman says that they saw the message as "an ethical and less embarrassing end to the toilet paper heist saga" and reminds customers, "Next time you steal from a restaurant you frequent, at least leave a tip."
