Eating at the airport is becoming an increasingly delicious prospect. Joining the influx of familiar names (Tender Greens, Stone Brewing Co., Saffron, Phil's BBQ) at the San Diego International Airport is a new outpost from Bankers Hill Bar + Restaurant.
Restaurateur Terryl Gavre and three-time James Beard nominee, chef Carl Schroeder, first opened Bankers Hill Bar + Restaurant in 2010. Now they're scheduled for an airport launch on September 22 in Terminal 1.
Expect to find signature dishes from the Bankers Hill's menu, including their deviled farmer's market eggs with lemon potato chips, roasted beet and arugula salad and their popular crispy BBQ pork tacos served with pepper jack cheese, avocado and herb-lime cream. The airport shop will also offer pre-packaged food developed for diners on-the-go.
