The Pearl Owners To Open New North Park Restaurant

Eater's here with exciting news that the LWP Group, the local developer behind The Pearl Hotel in Point Loma, is bringing a new restaurant concept to North Park.

The LWP Group, which was a collaborator in Little Italy's UnderBelly, will now install a restaurant into The North Parker, the mixed-use project by architect Jonathan Segal, now under construction at 30th Street and Upas; earlier this summer, UnderBelly announced that they would be opening a second location in the same 6,000-square-foot development, which is scheduled to be completed later this year.

A rep for LWP says that the concept for the new restaurant is currently being distilled from several in consideration. The Pearl's chef, Jaison Burke, a recent Eater interviewee, will likely oversee the kitchen; he and other members of the team have research trips planned to Mexico and beyond.
