A planned grand opening, for November 17, of The Headquarters at Seaport District should see all of your meal and snack needs covered.
Joining the complex's anchor restaurant tenants, which include Pizzeria Mozza, Puesto, Eddie V's and more, are a number of food-focused shops. Among them are just-announced outposts for two local businesses, Venissimo Cheese and Dallmann Fine Chocolates.
This will be a second location for the San Diego chocolatier; Dallmann Fine Chocolates has a flagship boutique in North County's Flower Hill Promenade.
The cheesemongers will keep their stores in Mission Hills and Del Mar, but Venissimo Cheese plans to close and move their East Village shop into an 830-square-foot space in The Headquarters.
Venissimo's head cheese whiz, Gina Freize, told Eater that they'll offer sandwiches, cheese plates, cheese flights (airplane-friendly cheese packs) and jars of burrata with different toppings. The downtown Venissimo will also feature a cheese-making element; details are forthcoming. Other newly-added purveyors include the OC-based Gelato Paradiso and Starbucks.
