Puesto Mexican Street Food is in construction on their downtown restaurant in The Headquarters, but in the meantime, the company is opening a new eatery adjacent to their original La Jolla location.
The 1,000-square-foot Puesto Bar/Living, is projected to be up and running by mid-September. Thomas Schoos (Searsucker), who's also working on their downtown project, will design the space.
Unlike their fast-casual place next door, Puesto Bar/Living will offer tableside service and a menu of Mexican small plates (ceviche, crudos, grilled prawns, house made guacamole); the bar will focus on Puesto's micheladas and offer a good selection of craft beer on tap.
