Voila, Here's a New Belgian Cafe in La Jolla

The former site of Bibby's Crepe Cafe in La Jolla has been replaced with Voila Creative Fresh Food, serving European and American cuisine.

Owner Laurent Hebbelinck is from Belgium, so you'll find desserts like Brussels pie and Belgium cheesecake, plus hot "croque monsieur" sandwiches that sub the traditional ham and cheese for combos that include grilled chicken and havarti or nutella with strawberries.

Their build-your-own meals feature organic salad greens, pasta or quinoa that you can top with various ingredients and homemade dressings. There are also daily soups, quiche and ready-made sandwiches with house roasted turkey or grilled vegetables.

Voila Creative Fresh Food is open for lunch and dinner from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
