Local Habit in Hillcrest To Change Hands But Not Menu

The San Diego Reader is reporting the sale of Local Habit, which first opened in Hillcrest in 2011.

We're hearing that the sale of the 5th Avenue space isn't quite official, but that the new owners plan to keep the menu and craft beer focus.

The Reader also has more background on our news of the shutter of Vagabond and its new proprietor, Adam Parker, whose new Brabant Bar & Café will focus on Belgian beer and food.

Owner Jerome Gombert told Eater that he chose to sell the South Park space to Parker because his concept wasn't too similar to Vagabond's food and drink menu; Gombert says he's now taking a break from the restaurant biz.
