The Lion's Share To Expand, Replace North Park's Hubcap

We've been hearing that The Lion's Share, which opened in 2012, has been considering expansion and checking out spots throughout the city, from La Jolla to Del Mar. Eater San Diego can now confirm that the downtown restaurant has found its next location; The Lion's Share will take over Hubcap once the eatery shutters at the end of the month.

Hubcap is still open and serving their grass fed beef burgers through July 30, but Hassan Mahmood of The Lion's Share tells Eater that they're currently working on their plan to transform the North Park space and hope to reopen by September or early October.
