Happy Hour at The Hake; Beer, Farms & Food; Pig & Poke Downtown

LA JOLLA— The new daily 3 to 7 p.m. happy hour at The Hake has tons of great deals, including $5 sangria, cava and mezcal, $2 off craft beer, 20% off wine and a rotating list of $4 bar bites that include ham croquettes with garlic aioli, spicy tuna tartare with house made potato chips and avocado tacos. DOWNTOWNSaltbox chef Simon Dolinky is partnering up with the "I LOVE POKE" food fest for a Pig & Poke event at the Hotel Palomar this Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. Hang out by the rooftop SummerSalt Pool Lounge and feast on Hawaiian-style eats, including chef Dolinky's guava-roasted pig with secret recipe barbecue sauce accompanied by rice and mac salad, plus fresh ahi poke and all the shave ice you can eat.
