Carniverous Eater readers have been asking us to check up on when meat-on-sticks mavens Fogo de Chao will debut its newest West Coast location.
The 11,000-square-foot Brazilian churrascaria steakhouse, currently under construction in the former Border's space on the corner of 6th and G Streets is reportedly opening in late August; as of this writing, the upscale eatery is scheduled to debut August 22 for dinner and August 26 for lunch.
The all-you-can-eat meat doesn't come cheap ($29.50 lunch; $46.50 dinner) but it pays to bring kids; children six and under are complimentary and ages seven to twelve are half price. And vegetarians aren't completely left out here; their 20 U.S. locations also included a varied 30-item salad bar ($22.5 lunch; $28.50 dinner).
