Max Bonacci Joins Carnitas' Snack Shack's Porktastic Crew

New, 3 comments

Max Bonacci, the chef and longtime stalwart of The Linkery kitchen who helped originate the menu for El Take It Easy and its successor, Hubcap, is now sharing his talent with another meat-centric North Park restaurant; Bonacci is the new "consigliere" at Carnitas' Snack Shack.

What does that mean? It means that he'll be charge of lots of things — Bonacci will be Carnitas' catering and special event chef, as well as an occasional guest chef in the Pig Pen, the restaurant's grill-equipped outdoor beer garden, which will soon be available for party rentals.

With the popular eatery's inevitable expansion (we hear a second, more northerly spot is in the pipeline), chef/owner Hanis Cavin is building up his culinary team; Bonacci's brings his considerable sausage-making and meat-curing skills, so expect to see some new menu items soon.

When reached for comment, Cavin said "With Max on board the porky level is off the grid. Welcome my partner in crime to the world of pork."
