UnderBelly Plans Second Location in North Park

New, 9 comments

Little Italy's pint-sized ramen shop, UnderBelly, is growing again. Last month, the restaurant added a 16-seat upstairs dining room, and now the owners Consortium Holdings are planning an expansion to North Park.

San Diego Mag reports that the new location will be 2,300 square feet (compared to the original's 900), part of the North Parker Lofts, a mixed used development that is scheduled to open this December and that will also include a location of Influx Cafe. Owner Arsalun Tafazoli expects his restaurant, on the corner of 30th and Upas, to open by January. And at this space, in addition to ramen, they'll serve a yakitori menu.
