An Eater reader asked us to investigate the recent shutter of 25 Forty Bistro & Bakehouse in Old Town, which was actually one of the tourist area's better restaurants.

The eatery, which first opened in 2010, served its last meal on Sunday; neighbors cited rising rent prices as the main reason for the closure.

Sources tell us that 25 Forty's owner and chef, Mark Pelliccia, who also held popular cooking classes in the Congress Street space, has plans to reopen in another location; stay tuned to the restaurant's Facebook page for updated info.
