Here's some rare Eater food porn, courtesy of ACME Kitchen & Bar. Owner Terryl Gavre has been busy in her nearby test kitchen, practicing recipes and working out the final stages of the menu, while ACME's 1,000-square-foot space on E Street heads into the home stretch.
Behold ACME Kitchen & Bar's fried chicken biscuit — cornmeal battered chicken sandwiched in a house made buttermilk biscuit topped with coleslaw, dill pickle chips and a creole mustard aioli.
When can you taste it? Gavre told Eater that ACME is likely six to eight weeks from opening; Basile Studio is starting on the finishes (tables, chairs, windows, flooring, etc.) that'll bring the space together. Until then, use the menu to plan your first ACME meal.
