Mid-Century Lounge To Touch Down in Hillcrest

This iconic Hillcrest building, which most recently housed The Range Kitchen & Cocktails before they moved to the other side of University Avenue, will soon be home to Commonwealth, a new eatery that's scheduled for an end of July opening.

Commonwealth's owners have stripped the space's interior, and will refashion it in a mid-centry modern style designed to match the "Googie-themed" architecture of the building.

The evening-only lounge will focus on craft cocktails and beer, serving small drink-friendly bites and appetizers but no entrees.
