City Deli Changes Hands; New Bailiwick Menu; Nosh Opens Thursday in La Jolla

HILLCRESTThe U-T reports that City Delicatessen, which first open in 1984, will soon be under new ownership. City Deli is getting a new name, Harvey Milk's American Diner, after the much-admired politician and gay activist. The new diner's menu will revolve around "classic American comfort food". [U-T]

GASLAMP— Downtown's Bailiwick has added a new night of service to their schedule and will now be open on Tuesdays. Their weekday happy hour (5 to 8 p.m.) features $5 craft beer, wine and cocktails, plus live jazz music on Wednesdays. They also just debuted a new brunch menu, including beef and bacon sliders on waffle buns and a summery salad of fruit, greens, ricotta and quinoa. [EaterWire]

LA JOLLAPatch shares details about the Thursday opening of Nosh Delicatessen on Girard. The East Coast-style deli, which has another location in Encinitas, will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner with options ranging from omelets and pancakes to pastrami sandwiches and seafood dishes. [Patch]
