Gatsby-Inspired Eats; New Sur La Table; Gator By The Bay

MISSION HILLSThe Wellington Steak & Martini Lounge is celebrating the Roaring Twenties with some drinks, eats and live music inspired by the Great Gatsby. Tonight's retro special from Chef Miguel Valdez is a crab and shrimp Newburg served with a Waldorf salad and tomorrow's Gatsby-era dish is a New York strip steak with pan fried sweetbreads. Snake Oil Cocktail Co. is getting into the mix too, their new Owl Eyes cocktail blends gin and Campari, while The Flapper is a rye whiskey-based fizz with fresh strawberry and lemon. [EaterWire]

LA JOLLA— Here's another place to feed your kitchen gadget obsession. The La Jolla Light is reporting that Sur La Table has signed a lease on a 6,720-square-foot space at 7643 Girard Avenue. It'll be a retail cookware shop and venue for Sur La Table Cooking Classes. [LJLight]

HARBOR ISLAND— Eat yourself silly on crawfish, gumbo, jambalaya, fresh raw oysters and more at this weekend's Gator By The Bay festival.
