Here Is Richard Blais' Future Restaurant Site

A rep has confirmed with Eater that the Helix Wholesale Co. Building, at 2228 Kettner Boulevard between Ivy and Juniper, will be the site of a new San Diego restaurant from chef, cookbook author, restaurateur and TV personality Richard Blais; according to his Facebook page, the chef's in town this week to check in on the build out of the space.

The Little Italy project is a partnership with Atlanta-based Concentrics Restaurants, who previously helped to develop Blais' FLiP burger boutiques and The Spence.

Also on board is a local investor, Michael Rosen of Juniper Hospitality, and Atlanta's The Johnson Studio, a restaurant architecture firm.

The new San Diego restaurant is projected to open in late 2013.
