KEARNY MESA— The folks over at mmm-yoso have a first look inside the newly-opened Zion Market on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. This new, much larger location will also have individual small eateries inside the market, including Paris Baguette; a rep says these spots are waiting to pass inspection and could still be a couple weeks out. Taegukgi Korean BBQ House, the all you can eat place that shares a parking lot, is now open. [mmm-yoso]

LA JOLLA— It's a sushi switcheroo in La Jolla, where the specialty sushi roll-dominated Shiku Sushi Bar has replaced Tadashi Sushi at 1277 Prospect St. Thrillist has some sushi porn, including Shiku's rice-free I'm So Baked and Jewel rolls; happy hour is from 3 to 6 p.m. daily. [Thrillist]

SCRIPPS RANCHRoot Cellar Catering Co. is launching a new weekly Taco Tuesday event at Ballast Point Brewing & Spirits' main brewery. Every Tuesday from 4 to 9 p.m., the Root Cellar's chefs will cook up seasonal taco recipes utilizing beer, including Indra Kunindra curry chicken and Black Marlin Chipotle Porter smoked brisket, served with handmade tortillas and chips.
