Live or work downtown? Your lunch break is about to get way more delicious. Eater's learned that Ramen Yamadaya will soon be opening a second San Diego location in an iconic 1920's-era building on Broadway that used to house the Lion's Department Store.
Ramen Yamadaya will be moving into a 1,784-square-foot space in the Samuel Fox Lofts building; two other larger retail units are still unoccupied.
The ramen chain has six locations in Southern California, including one on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard, and specializes in tonkotsu ramen, which has a pork bone broth base that simmers for 20 hours.
The new downtown location is expected to open this summer.
