MISSION HILLS— A quick switcheroo has turned Toma Sol Cafe into Toma Sol Tavern. The new eatery serves lunch and dinner, features 12 craft beers on tap, plus estate wines; get $1 off drinks during their 3 to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday happy hour. DOWNTOWN— The Gaslamp dessert shop, Cremolose (840 5th Ave), shuttered in late March. We're now hearing that it'll be replaced with something called the Lucky Bastard Saloon, which is still in the design and construction phase. [EaterWire]
PACIFIC BEACH— Bite of Boston, which specializes in New England-style sub sandwiches, soups and fried seafood platters, is in the process of opening its third location at 4651 Mission Boulevard. The eatery already has outposts in Rancho Bernardo and University City. [EaterWire]
