Here's what you could be sipping at Sycamore Den when the bar opens on Friday.

Bar director Eric Johnson, who'll tend here on weekends, has put together a cocktail menu that combines craft with efficiency. Most drinks are riffs on classics; Get Shipwrecked is a manhattan variation with mezcal and Fernet-Branca and the LiveWrong is a frothy egg white concoction with gin and lemon.

Four of Sycamore Den's thirteen $9 signature cocktails feature gin, including the Flannel Mouth, which is flavored with cucumber and Aperol, but Johnson says that rum, whiskey and mezcal will also feature prominently. He designed the debut menu with summer refreshers in mind; he'll likely swap them out with a new lineup cocktail lineup every six months. During their 5 to 7 p.m. happy hour, select cocktails will be $5.

Other drinks include wine and 24 beers on tap; snacks are limited to popcorn, but the Den may collaborate with neighborhood restaurants for some kind of food component.
