Some very sad news; the U-T is reporting that local architect, Graham Downes, has died from injuries sustained from an assault. Downes had been hospitalized since Friday, after an altercation in front of his home with one of his firm's employees. The architect was well-known in San Diego, and worked on many local restaurant-related projects, including JRDN, Gang Kitchen, the Hard Rock Hotel and the redesign of the Bali Hai. [U-T, NBC7]
