Kathleen Wise's Favorite Burger

starlite%20logo.jpgAfter cooking at Starlite for six years, chef Kathleen Wise says that she still eats their burger once a week and hasn't got tired of it. She loves the brioche bun from Con Pane Rustic Breads & Cafe and the "mellow, buttery flavor" of the eight ounce Brandt burger patty. The burger's topped with gruyere cheese and sweet caramelized onions and served with dijionnaise, homemade pickles and hand cut fries; it's available on the Sunday brunch and dinner menu. Obviously Starlite's burger is her number one favorite, but which comes a close second? Wise recommends the burger at Jayne's Gastropub. Try it on Tuesday nights, when the burger, nestled in a Bread & Cie bun and topped with aged cheddar cheese, garlic aioli and house pickled onions, and any draft beer is $16. [~ESD~]
