The tenth Burger Lounge in Southern California is officially open in Del Mar's Flower Hill Promenade. The 1,200 square-foot-restaurant, designed by local firm, Studio MY ID, has 55 seats and includes a heated outdoor patio. At all locations, Burger Lounge is debuting a revamped menu that now includes a "Classic" Burger with organic American cheese, organic ketchup, mustard, pickles, and onion and the lighter "Little Lounge" burger, which features a 4 ounce grass fed beef or free-range turkey patty. There's also a new Nice Little Side Salad, a combo of lettuces, corn, red onion, and carrot dressed with their house made lemon-basil vinaigrette.
Exclusive to Del Mar is a new partnership with Karl Strauss Brewing Company; going forward, three of the local brewery's beers will be on tap here.
To celebrate their grand opening, Burger Lounge is partnering with the San Diego chapter of the Surfrider Foundation. On Thursday, April 18, 100% of the proceeds from the sale of their signature Lounge Burger will be donated to the non profit organization; on Friday, April 19, all proceeds from the sale of their vegetarian items (Quinoa Veggie Burger, Fresh Vegetable Salad, and Organic Quinoa Salad) will be donated as well.
What's next for Burger Lounge in San Diego? Marketing Manager Robert Lane told Eater that they're exploring other coastal neighborhoods in North County.
