Matt Kiser helped to open the Gaslamp's since-shuttered Quarter Kitchen and worked around the corner at Urban Solace for four years before joining the West Coast Tavern, first as a sous chef, before recently transitioning into the role of executive chef.
Dana Francisco served as sous chef to Uptown Tavern's previous chef in charge,Eli Freebairn, before taking over the kitchen last month. Francisco has been cooking in San Diego for seven years; at Uptown Tavern, he's contributed to the restaurant's ever-changing menu which gets refreshed every three months.
