North County Update: The Regal Seagull & More

LEUCADIA— According to their Twitter, the owners of The Regal Beagle are planning a Thursday opening for their second eatery, The Regal Seagull. Replacing the Leucadia Sushi Bar, this new location will mirror their original menu offering T&H sausages and over 20 craft beers on tap. The Regal Seagull will be open from 3 p.m. to midnight, Monday through Thursday and from noon to midnight on weekends; the kitchen closes at 10 p.m. on weekdays and 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. LEUCADIA— Just down the block, Solterra Winery & Kitchen has a fancy new website and is set to open their doors in the next few weeks. Their starting schedule will be from noon to 7 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday, with new hours starting in May, when they'll begin their food service and offer a Mediterranean tapas menu. [EaterWire]

ENCINITAS— A tipster asked us to look into what's under construction at 294 N. El Camino Real, the former site of a sports bar called Boston Gourmet Pizza. We can report that it's being replaced with a new outpost of Boudin Bakery, the cafe concept from the San Francisco-based chain. Boudin already has locations in UTC and Fashion Valley. [EaterWire]
